Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with Morale Travel & Tours (Pty) Ltd, a travel company based in Cape Town, South Africa. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed once:

  • A written confirmation has been issued, and
  • The required deposit payment has been received.

All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.

3. Deposits & Payments

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking.

  • Final payment is due 60 days before arrival, unless otherwise stated.
  • For bookings made within 60 days of travel, full payment is required immediately.

Payments can be made via:

  • Bank transfer

All bank charges are the responsibility of the client.

4. Pricing

Prices are:

  • Quoted in ZAR
  • Based on current supplier rates
  • Subject to change due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or supplier increases until deposit is received.

Once deposit is paid, prices are guaranteed unless government taxes or park fees change.

5. Cancellations by the Client

All cancellations must be made in writing.

  • Deposit: non-refundable
  • 60–45 days before travel: 50% cancellation fee
  • 44–30 days before travel: 75% cancellation fee
  • Less than 30 days before travel: 100% cancellation fee

Airline tickets may have separate cancellation terms. Refunds depend on supplier policies.

6. Changes by the Client

Changes to confirmed bookings may incur:

  • Supplier amendment fees
  • Administration fees

Changes are subject to availability.

7. Cancellations by Suppliers

In rare cases, accommodation, flights, or activities may be changed or cancelled by suppliers.
If this happens, Morale Travel & Tours (Pty) Ltd will offer suitable alternatives where possible.

8. Force Majeure

Morale Travel & Tours (Pty) Ltd cannot be held responsible for events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Pandemics (including COVID-type events)
  • Government travel restrictions
  • Natural disasters
  • Political unrest
  • Airline disruptions
  • Border closures
  • Weather conditions

Refunds in these situations depend on supplier policies.

9. Travel Insurance (Required)

All travellers must have comprehensive travel insurance, including:

  • Medical coverage
  • Trip cancellation
  • Trip interruption
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Loss of belongings

Failure to obtain insurance is at the traveller’s own risk.

10. Passports, Visas & Health Requirements

Clients are responsible for:

  • Passport validity
  • Visa requirements
  • Vaccinations
  • Entry requirements

Morale Travel & Tours (Pty) Ltd is not responsible for denied entry due to missing documentation.

11. Liability

Morale Travel & Tours (Pty) Ltd acts as an agent for third-party suppliers including:

  • Lodges
  • Airlines
  • Transfer companies
  • Tour operators

We are not responsible for:

  • Injury
  • Loss
  • Damage
  • Delays
  • Supplier failure

12. Special Requests

Special requests (dietary requirements, room preferences, etc.) cannot be guaranteed but will be communicated to suppliers.

13. Privacy

Client information is handled in accordance with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) in South Africa.

14. Acceptance of Terms

Payment of a deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
